Just outside Killarney, Queensland, you'll find Fairview Flower Farm. A small piece of land with a story that began long before ours.

We purchased the property in 2020 with dreams of building our family home. While planting along the front fence, we unearthed a small toy soldier dating back to the 1930s, sparking a curiosity about the families who had lived here before us.

​

Through old maps, title deeds and historical records, we discovered that Michael and Mary Doherty named the property Fairview in 1901 and raised their six children here. More than a century later, we chose to restore its original name, honouring its history while beginning a new chapter of our own.

What started as a love of gardening has since grown into Fairview Flower Farm.

​

Today, we're raising our own children here, growing seasonal flowers and sharing them with our local community. We love the connection between past and present — a place that has nurtured families for generations, now growing flowers alongside ours.

We believe there's beauty in knowing where your flowers come from, the hands that grew them and the story of the place they came from.
